So I found this website http://www.iblipped.com/ on Crackberry, and gotta say I've become addicted to it. Small app you download to your blackberry which collects signal strength by GPS coordinates.

Has anyone else checked it out or using it?? I'm running on AT&T and not to many people have used it in CT.

Check it out!

Doesn't seem to do anything on my Bold. Just get an empty white screen with "Blips" in the title bar. Twiddling options does nothing. Had it running for about 20 minutes yesterday evening as I travelled around a bit.

Other apps have no problem accessing the GPS (Google Maps, BB Maps, Blackstar, etc).

EDIT 27/11/09

Now that I've updated to the 1.4 version of the Blipper everything's working on my Bold.

There is a certain addictive quality to recording all the coverage, uploading and then waiting with bated breath for coverage maps to update so you can trace all your journeys and trips!

The only downside is that there aren't too many people updating in the UK yet, so you'll be able to literally trace my home, workplace and hobbies to within a few metres very soon!

I have that happen to me as well. I have a bold too. I find that exiting out and restarting the application usually does the trick. never had to do it more then once. – TRUMPF Nov 11 at 13:22
They've released a new 1.4 version that has debugging on it specifically to help fix various problems including the blank screen on Bolds problem. Just downloaded now, don't have a blank screen anymore, but I don't think its gathering much data with me sitting at my desk in the office. Will try out on the way home. – GAThrawn Nov 25 at 13:56
sounds good. I'm downloading 1.4 right now and will test later this afternoon. – TRUMPF Nov 28 at 16:08

I'm using it. I am the only person in a 20 mile radius where I live that uses it. But I live out in the country in a small town in South Carolina. Not the most technologically sound area of the country.

Version 1.4 didn't work well on my blackberry...kept locking up. I needed to rollback to 1.3 to get it working again. :(

As far as I can tell from the iblipped forums the fixes in 1.4 were mainly to get it working on GSM Bold 9000s. I guess if you're using something else then it could have caused more problems. – GAThrawn Dec 7 at 14:37
